DuraCoat is the latest in
firearm finishing technology. No other
commercially manufactured firearm finishing
system has the combination of versatility,
durability, and user friendly
characteristics of DuraCoat. We have an
ever-expanding line of standard colors.
DuraCoat can also be custom tinted to any
color on the planet. DuraCoat comes in a
standard matte or semi gloss (HK) finish. We
can custom manufacture any sheen level. DuraCoat
can be applied to ferrous metals, alloys,
synthetics, woods and more. DuraCoat can
be used to create endless effects - ie:
texturing, shadowing, etc... . DuraCoat dry
film thickness can be varied from .25 to 1.5
mL. Additives such as prisms and flakes can
be used with DuraCoat. The end user of
DuraCoat can vary the flexibility to meet
specific needs by adding DuraFlex
Advantages: Aesthetically pleasing
appearance.
Ideal for the firearms industry, with
resistance to most lubricants, cutting oils,
and bore solvents.
DuraCoat Clear is an extremely
versatile finish. It can be applied over
DuraCoat colors, bluing, stainless, etc.
When applied over bluing DuraCoat Clear
will put an end to rusting and pitting.
Accumulation of oxidization, dirt and grime
on stainless firearms is easily eliminated.

| KG GUN KOTE
TEFLON™ FINISH
KG Gun Kote was
first developed for use on military weapons.
The
United States
Navy Seal Teams were the first units to use
this product. There was a need for a
material that would hold up under extreme
adverse conditions. The coating needed to
withstand over 500 hour salt spray tests
and still meet the military machine gun
firing requirements... Gun Kote does this
and its application has grown from Firearms
to Automotive/Motorcycle, Aerospace and
Industrial applications, being used on
heads, cases, barrels, oil coolers,
radiators and engine blocks. Gun Kote is a
thin hard coating that will give excellent
protection from abrasion. It is not easily
worn off such as bluing, phosphate or
chemically blackened surface treatments,
which can leave metal surfaces bare and
unprotected from the elements. Gun Kote does
not attract dirt or dust, has excellent
impact resistance and is non-reflective. TEFLON™
BASED Gun Kote is oven cured at 325 Deg
and can only be used on metal parts.
Outstanding Corrosion Protection: Gun Kote affords
the user outstanding corrosion protection,
up to 1000 hours salt spray at 5% salt,
Tests performed for Armscor in
South Africa
by the South African Naval Logistics Dept. showed
Gun Kote will withstand an equivalent of a 7
years of outdoor exposure!!!
